Lydia Maddix is a 90s pop singer-songwriter, guitarist and film-maker hailing from London. In her career so far she’s penned and performed songs with ITV for Katie Price, Labrinth and Bugsy Malone actor, Donald Waugh.
She grew up on a musical cereal bowl of Gospel, Indie and Synth pop citing MJ, La-Roux, Haim, Charli XCX, Spice Girls, Lapsley, The Pierces and Eurythmics as some of her biggest heroes.
Lydia’s debut EP ’93 was released 6th June ’16…her 23rd birthday! She describes it as a cutesy, bubblegum 80s meets 90s pop experience. Her ’93 launch party was held at Forest Hill’s retro sweetshop, Sugar Mountain. View the highlights video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1pYH79Y9Ig
Lydia’s single Too Cliché was first played by BBC Radio. Recently Shoreditch Radio added it to their playlist and it has been championed by other stations including Westside FM and CSR FM.
