A TRIP TO THE MOON is a ‘live make’ collaboration.

Katharine and Clea will spend the weekend turning the toiles of an outfit and headpiece into finished articles, which will be reflected in Emily’s evolving window display.

The event will allow the general public to follow the design process from mood board through to the finished articles. Please drop by any time throughout the workshop to see the designers at work and talk to them about the project and their techniques – and don’t miss the reveal at 17.00-19.00 on the 21st, with drinks and canap├ęs.

Their inspiration is George Melies 1902 film ‘A Trip to the Moon’ which was recently screened at the Horniman Museum as part of it’s ‘Edwardian Lates’. This combined with the impressive architecture of the Horniman museum & conservatory from the same period, the project promises to be an exciting addition to FHFW.
